I Scream You Scream....

Hi! How is your Wednesday going? I certainly cannot complain. It was a super busy day at work but it made it go by so fast and today is my Friday! wooohooo. I am trying to get a jump start on the house cleaning so I don't have to spend all day tomorrow doing it. I would like to get in the scrap room and put some finishing touches on the pages I made last week at the cabin. I am so loving our weather lately it has been so sunshiny and warm. Although it did rain a little today but when I left work you never would have known it. ANYWHOOOOO. I made this card a few weeks ago. I used the ice cream cones from Love Songs by PTI cut out each one and raised on foam dots. The birthday sentiment is PTI Birthday Basics. Sprinkle on some PTI Summer Sunrise and a Swiss Dot cuttlebug folder and you have yourself a yummy little card, totally calorie free! The other colors thrown in are Raspberry Fizz, New Leaf and the Blue is Stampin' Up! Brilliant Blue. The scallops were made with the super fun Fiskars Threading Water punch. Okay, I hope you are inspired. Thank you for the visit!
Cheers!

Graduation 09

Haaaapppy Monday! Can you believe school is almost out? Kids are getting ready to graduate??? Including my step-daughter Hannah! Oh, my she was only 3 years old when I met her and now she is 18 and graduating High School. Gosh, it goes by so quickly. This is not the card I made for her but it is one someone bought from me. The patterned paper is The paper Studio and the very light grey is new PTI Soft Stone and I used PTI Black. The 09 is a stamp from CTMH called Rustic Numbers. I cut them out then embossed with Ranger Distressed embossing powder, it is pretty neat-o as it has a grainy/sandy texture. Super quick but my friend liked it alot. I have a few extra minutes today so I am gonna play in the Happy Place. See you again tomorrow hopefully. Thanks for your time!!! Have a great night.
Cheers!

Scrappy Weekend

Hello Lovelies! So happy you came by today. I don't have a card to share today but I wanted to show you the view from the deck this past weekend at Center Hill Lake. I also just had to show you how beautiful our mimosa's looked with that spectacular view behind it. LOL! It was soooo refreshing to wake up with sweet friends and enjoy a mimosa rocking in a rocking chair overlooking this view and chit chatting and laughing. So nice. The weather was beautiful, on Saturday anyway. And the cabin, oh man, I have never seen anything like it. I still smelled so new like hardwood. Everything was hardwood or slate or granite. Nothing was skimped on, all the fixtures and faucets and hardware. The furniture was plush soft leather. I did not want to leave I tell ya. Okie dokie. I need to run thanks for coming by I will have more to share very soon! Have an awesome night and a great tomorrow!
Cheers!

More Mother's Day cards

Whew, the Mothers Day cards I've been making are flying out the door. I am so glad there are places like Etsy, Splitcoaststampers etc. for casing inspiration. Like this card here by Michelle Werner that I fell in love with on splitcoast. Hers is sooooo gorgeous. I decided to make mine pink and used different ribbon and made it mothers day instead of hello. I also did not add little drops around the corners although the drops were a beautiful accent I needed to make several in a hurry. The cardstock is Sweet Blush from PTI and so is the Vintage Cream ribbon. The flowers are The Paper Studio and the sentiments are from Women of Life also PTI. I used Curved Rectangles Die by Spellbinders and used the Swiss Dot folder in the cuttlebug for the front piece.
Make sure you check out Michelle's card, you will love it.

Okie doke, I am out the door headed for a cabin at Centerhill Lake with my scrappy friends!!! Wooooohoooo. See you on Sunday. Have an awesome weekend!
Cheers!

I wish I had more sleep but other than that it is wonderful as we got to babysit the grand baby last night and I will watch him today! yea! love that little boy. Well, I finally bought myself a butterfly punch. I bought the Martha Stewart punch. This was the first thing I made with it. I love it. I love the bright colors. I punched a butterfly out of PTI Perfect Plum, Raspberry Fizz, Summer Sunrise and New Leaf. The blue is from my stash and i don't know what it is. I added a little bling just on the middle butterfly. The ribbon and green base cardstock is New Leaf. The sentiment Hello Friend is from Birds of a feather. Opps, gotta run. Graces alarm clock is going. Time for school. Happy Easter!!!

Good Easter Morning to you all!!! I hope you enjoy the day with your families. I love Easter. AND that also means Lent is over, I can once again have my sweets and diet cokes!!!! Hip Hip Hurray. Oh my how I have missed those. DH and I do not exchange Easter gifts but this year since I did so well with Lent he made an Easter Basket for me with Reece's Cups, Coffee Creamer and my favorite Little Debbie snacks Swiss Cake Rolls!!! Ahhhh, I am in heaven I tell ya! teeheee
So, I had a request to make mothers day cards. I did not have a whole lot of time this weekend and my mojo was off so I scanned different sites for inspiration and ended up flat out casing! But they are beautiful. This mothers day card was cased from here. From Betsy Veldman's Etsy shop gosh she is talented. Thank you, yours is 10x more beautiful than mine. I changed it just a little, changed the colors and sentiment and I did not add stitching. I would have but totally did not feel like changing out the white thread that is in my machine. You cannot see from the pic how sparkly it is IRL. The cardstock is Stampin' UP! Brocade Blue and the patterned paper is CTMH Emporium (Love every sheet in that pack). The sentiment is PTI Women of Life and the damask is Damask Designs also PTI. The pearl brad is The Paper Studio and ribbon is PTI. All right that is it for now, need to get ready for the Easter egg hunt. Enjoy your day!!
Cheers!

The Invites!

I know a lot of you read about me making 150 invites for someone. Well, here they are. I had made her a card very similar to this but in different colors. She wanted the same style but in black & white, silver and purple. So this is how they came out. Thank goodness Papertrey Ink delivers so fast or I never would have gotten them done in such a short time. Also she put the party information on the inside herself, so that was a tremendous time saver. I love the style of this card but I am afraid I will not be making it again for a while since I have now made 155 like this! teehee. I used all PTI products except the sentiment which was typed out.
Anyway, Please pray for all those here in the Nashville, TN area that has lost there homes in the devastating tornadoes that hit today. I cannot imagine loosing everything in just a matter of minutes. Some of these folks lost their pets also. So sad. There weekend will get better!

Happy Birthday to You

Hi Everybody!!!! Its my Friday wooooooooooohoooooooooooooo!!!!! And it is beautiful outside and I came home a little early from work. Roll all of that up and it makes a GRAND day! I hope you are enjoying your day as well. I made this card a couple of weekends ago. I think it turned out nicely. I used Damask Designs from that uber talented Dawn McVey for PTI. Stamped the larger Damask in Vintage Cream ink onto Melon Berry. Stamped the smaller Damask in Ocean Tides onto a Label One die cut. Stamped Happy Birthday to you in Dark Chocolate. I also ran a piece of Dark Chocolate in the Textile cuttlebug folder. Tied it all together with some 5/8 Ocean Tides grosgrain ribbon. I have an order for a few cards so I need to get busy in a minute. I really need to do some chores first. Enjoy the rest of your day!
Cheers!

Easter Wishes

Good Evening! Hope all is well with you boys and girls. I have a little Easter card to share. This was made using the Mojo Monday sketch61. I used Close to my Heart That's Amore paper pack and Eastertime stamp set. Also used oval nesti and a scallop Marvy punch. The decorative punch at the bottom is Fiskars although I don't know the name of it. The teensy weensy Easter sentiment at the bottom is Papertrey. The little egg is raised on pop dots. I love using the Mojo Monday sketches as it makes cards come together so quickly! LOVE THAT! Well, folks this is short and sweet today. I am pooped from a long day at work. Hope you enjoy your evening!
Cheers!

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge Wk 3

Hi There!! It is a BEA-U-TI-FUL Sunday here in Mt Juliet. I only got one card done today. But that is okay. I got some errands ran that I haven't been able to do this weekend because of that large order of invites to make. But they are DONE! WOOOHOOOO. We also took a family walk around the neighborhood. I LOVE the smell of fresh cut grass. It makes me happy! Thank goodness I don't have any allergies. I will not be partaking in a request like that again for a while. I chose to take Dawns color challenge again this week. Super fun colors!! I cut up different sized strips of cardstock (Sweet Blush, Berry Sorbet and Pure Poppy) mounted it onto Kraft cardstock then onto Pure Poppy. I used dimensionals to raise in onto a Kraft base. For the Vanilla part of the challenge I used Kaiser Craft paper flowers. In the center of each flower is a little bling from The Paper Studio. I stamped Happy Birthday from Birthday Basics from PTI. That is it. Called it a day after that. I hope you enjoyed your visit I am so excited that you came by. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!!!
Cheers!

Sailboat Birthday

Good Morning to you all!!! I woke up to some beautiful sunshine this am. I need to enjoy it now because the weather man says the rain is coming! I need to get that big order of cards done so I need to get busy but I wanted to pop in real quick and share a card I made for my daddy's birthday (yes..I am a Southern Girl and at 35 years old I still call him Daddy! LOL). I love this little set from PTI called Men of Life. I also love the patterned paper designed with it. I added Pure Poppy cardstock for mounting. I also cut out my favorite nesti, Label One to showcase the sailboat. You really cant tell from the pic but I sponged some Spring Rain all around the sailboat. I stamped and cut out an anchor and hung it on some hemp for a little extra flair. I hope you like it. Daddy did so thats great. I also made him a matching gift bag for the polo shirt I gave him. okay, got to get ready for hip hop class and then back home to work on that invitation order!
OH, by the way my hip hop teacher is going to be on the show "So you think you can dance"!!!
how cool is THAT! Out of 3000 people he was one of the 25 that made it onto the show. He is contractually bound to not tell us any more than that though. The show airs May 21st and we are planning a "Travis Party" We will all get together and watch it. So excited for him!
thanks for coming by today have an awesome Thursday!
