Sprinkled With Fun

HI YA!! Happy Wednesday! Yippee.. getting back on the computer! Still lost my Picasa album but hubs did manage to find some "my pictures" file. anywhooo... This is a scrap page of my niece Mia Love. The fun bright papers are DCWV Taj Mahal. Love that paper pack. the sentiment was cut with my trust Cricut. I borrowed my super cool friend Tina cricut cartridge Sweet Treats (what a GREAT cart) The purple and red felt flowers are American Crafts that I've had in my stash FOR-EV-AH!!! I wanted a tidbit o texture so i drew lines around each square. it would have been nice to sew around each one but a.) it was a scrappy weekend at the cabin so no sewing machine with me and b.) thats a lot of squares and drawing is much faster :-)
okay. i am getting some of my house projects completed. and i hope to share those very soon!!!
thanks for stopping by tonight. Have an awesome day tomorrow!
Cheers!

Happy Birthday to YOU!

HELLO long lost blogging friends!!!
Sure hope everyone is doing well on this blazing hot Wednesday. Okay, so getting this house together has taken WAAAAYYYY more time than I anticipated or wanted. But... it is looking more like a home. We just finished the kitchen which required one coat of primer AND two coats of paint... ugg.. we did not skimp either we bought the good stuff from Porter Paint!! Oh well it looks great now. we still have the living room to go.. but I am hanging my painters hat up for a while. anywhoo.............. i have gotten in some play time!! here is one of the first cards i have made in a very long time. I already had the poofy flowers made from around Christmas time. I decided to use them up on this 5x7 card. The heart punch is from fiskars. the blue vinyl letters are the paper studio. not sure about the black polka dot paper. and the happy birthday sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. Thanks so much for visiting me. sorry it has been so long. I am so excited to check out everyones blogs that i have been missing. Have a GREAT night!
Cheers

Be Mine

Hidyho crafty friends! Hope you are having a great Tuesday night! I am sitting here eating chocolate covered espresso beans!!! Yuuuummmmmy! I hope they dont keep me awake tonight.
Things are still aggravating but moving right along with the house buying situation. Getting all the inspections and what not. Man, buying a home takes FOR-EV-ER! Maybe that is why I havent done it in 11 years! LOL Anywho, on with the card. I totally cased this card from my favorite vintage guru Melissa Phillips. Man that girl is good. I made the chipboard heart from a Cricut Cart! whooo! I ran it thru the Cricut about 3 times. still had to cut a little bit with the scissors though, but it did well. Colored the heart by swiping the ink pad on it then covered in glitter.
The rest of the deets are below. I hope you enjoyed. Plan on having a GREAT Wednesday! Thanks for your visit. I love visitors!
Cheers!

Play

HI!!!!
Happy Black Friday to some of you CRAZY shoppers! Not me boy. Online shopping all the way!
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and or friends. Ours was just perfect and we have two more to go! Today at my in-laws and Sunday at my daddy's. Goodness gracious you will have to roll me through the door to work on Monday! LOL
Anyway quick post as I need to go get ready. This is another page I made on my scrappy weekend. This is my Step-son Steven and his little boy Logan, my favorite grandbaby!!!
I used the Cricut Home Accents for the swirly image on the side. The paper is from a Fiskars package I won a while back. It is more wintery themed but obviously dosnt have to be winter.
I stamped with Damask Designs from PTI (swooon!!) The cardstock is old stuff I have had in my stash probably since the begining of this fabulous hobby of mine. The play stamp I borrowed from my great friend Tina so I do not remember the maker. The little fleur-de-lis is chipboard by American Crafts. I decided to leave it plain white. The great big fat ribbon is Offray. I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by and letting me know what you think. Have a great weekend!
Cheers!

HAPPY MONDAY!!! wooohooo....we made it. Made it through Monday! Hope all is well with you.
I was totally inspired to copy one of Dawn McVeys cards. I loved the big butterfly. I decided to change the color to purple. The butterfly I used was cut using the Hannah Montana Cartridge (have i said i love that cart before LOL) The small butterfly is the Martha Stewart punch. Good Luck sentiment is from PTI Mega Mixed Messages. The embossing down at the bottom was used with the American Crafts Purple Metallic Embossing Powder and PTI Damask Designs. I threw on some pearls from The Paper Studio and some Plum Pudding ribbon from PTI. OH the polka dot paper is PTI Bitty Dots in Lavender Moon. Hope you enjoyed. Have a great night!!

Beach Walk

Hola!
Got a scrap page to share with you today. While I was searching for my vehicle, I did not have much time to craft. This was a page I did shortly after we got back from Panama City Beach, FL
This is Grace and my mom and me and Grace, and me and mom walking on the beach. I was totally inspired by a layout in Scrapbook Trends Magazine. The patterned paper is Jenni Bowlin Studios, I sewed around the edge of the blue polka dot. I used some fabulous The Paper Studio flowers and nothing else than my Cricut for little leaves border that I cut out using PTI Hibiscus Burst, Tied some Hibicus Burst ribbon around some flowers. I also used the Cricut for the Lemon Tart Bracket Border. I used American Crafts Foam Stickers for the word walk. Then stamped the word beach with PTI Fresh Alphabet in CTMH Heavenly Blue ink. Thats it for now folks. We are getting ready to head over to the Wilson County Fairgrounds to turn in our entries for some contest. I am entering a scrapbook page and a card. Grace is entering a photograph and a necklace and a bracelet she made. I will let you know the outcome in a couple of weeks after the fair is over. THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT!! Enjoy your Saturday!
Cheers!

Beautiful Girl

Good Friday Morning to you all!!! Sorry for no posts in 4 days. I have had a really busy week with work and such. Now to play catch up time. I do have one more scrapbook page to share with you. Hope all you card people don't mind. This is my daughter Grace at our recent trip to Florida. I love her so much and cannot believe how fast she grows. She is always so kind enough to let me take photos of her. My niece was in Florida too and she would not let my sister take any pictures. I guess because Grace has grown up with a camera in her face she doesn't mind posing for me. Anywho here are the deets of the page. Thanks so much for your visit!!!!!
Cheers!

Making Flowers

Hi Ya! Happy Sunday to you! Hope you enjoyed your day of rest. Other than walking 3 miles in the park today with the heat and 75% humidity my day was just lovely. My hubby helped me with the cleaning chores by cleaning the tubs and toilets! whoohoooo. My two least favorite things to clean. He is just the BEST! Then Friday night and Saturday was so much fun because we got to babysit Grandbaby Logan. He is soooooo sweet. I loved every minute.
A little while back I won 9 packs of different colors of American Crafts 5x7 Cards and Envelopes.
I never make that size card so I had be a little intimidated, I decided that was just enough of that and got those babies out. I will have some to show you all week. This first two are basically the same card but one I used flat flowers and one crumbled flowers. I just tore circles with some card stock and some, I waded up til I got tired of that, then just left the others. I broke out some polka dot paper and the Janome Mini and got crazy. Hope you like. Thanks for your visit!!!!!!!
Cheers!

Vacation....all I ever wanted.

HI YA!!!
Whenever I say vacation I think of that song from the Go Gos!!! Fun all girl band back in the day! :)
I am leaving in just a few short hours to Panama City Beach, Florida! The family is so excited as we never got a chance to go last year. Only thing though is hubby is staying behind, this is just a girls trip with me, mom, daughter, sister and niece!! I sure will miss hubs but he will be putting in tile in the kitchen so when I get home I have a new kitchen floor!! whoop whoop! I thought about bringing this card with me to mail him while we are there. It certainly is not manly but it sure is tropical and VERY loud. Mom hated the ribbon on it, said it was WAY too much. So I took it off, what do you think? The card AND the embossing powders are from American Crafts. I won a whole package from American Crafts off of the Cards Magazine blog. In fact I won all of the colors in their 5x7 cards and envelopes for 9 colors, 12 in each pack. THEN I also got the entire collection of Metallic and Glitter Zing embossing powders!!! woooohoooo, yea ME! The paper pack is called Moon Doggie from CTMH. The flowers are also CTMH, a stamp set called Extreme Happiness. I look forward to scrapping some beach pictures with this fun paper. I embossed the flowers with Zing Purple Metallic ep and used the Zing Red Glitter embossing powder for the middle part of the flower. I think this is a Hibiscus and I have NO IDEA the parts of this flower so please excuse my ignorance! LOL I have no green thumb what so ever. I just typed up the sentiment in word using CTMH Stumbling Along Font. Oh! and the ribbon is CTMH Natural Twill. Okie Doke, gotta run. Thanks for stopping by!! Have an awesome week!
Cheers!
