Brown Bag It

Hello!! Happy Friday!!!!! Wooohooo. I am almost set to go for the scrapbooking retreat. Just a few more things to pack and I'll be done. I am so excited. I LOVE going on these. I love being around 80 women that are just as insane about this hobby as I am. It makes me feel "normal" LOL. Anyway I made a little project for the contest at Papertrey Ink. I missed yesterday's contest so I combined the two for my project today. Yesterday was an awesome give away and we were to make a bag of any kind. Today the awesome give away is a years worth of cardstock. If you have not ever used PTI cardstock you REALLY NEED to get some asap. It is wonderful colors and thickness and sturdy. I just love it. They come out with new colors every month. Anyway, again on to the project. We needed to use colors. Pure Poppy, Ocean Tides, Summer Sunrise (my favorite) and Ripe Avocado or similar colors if you don't have them specifically. I don't have Ripe Avocado (gasp!) so I substituted with SU Old Olive. So, I made a little snack bag for Grace's snacks at school. Wont she just be the envy at snack time! teehee. I used Fresh Alphabet, Simple Alphabet and Teacher's Apple stamps, all PTI. The patterned paper is Polka Dot Parade and the cardstock and ribbon is Pure Poppy. I used pinking shears to add a decorative touch. Well that is it. Thanks for looking. Keeping my fingers crossed I win the carstock. A crafter can NEVER have too much cardstock. Have a GREAT weekend. I will not see you again until Monday!
Cheers!

Beautiful and what a great idea to mix both the challenges. Loved it. I have been seeing so many exciting projects with Fresh Alphabet that I am tempted to get it.

What an adorable bag! I love it. My daughters name is Grace and you better believe she will carrying a cute little bag like this to school next week! Well, probably not that cute, but I will try. :) Love your song choice on the blog too! One of my favorites.

This bag is too cute. My only hang up about making bags like this is that I wouldn't want to get rid of them because they are so fun looking. I'm sure she loved it and everyone was jealous. :) Hope you had a great time at your retreat!
