Hello! Happy Monday. Hope all is well. This was my first day of my new better job. Things went well. I think i will really like it. I better, because i dont need to be switching around any more! LOL By the way...Grace and I did better with the fair prize money than we thought. I got a total of $7.00 for second place and she got a total of $15.00 $10.00 for first and $5.00 for 3rd.
woohooo. She loved it and is planning on entering even more categories next year!
So, for today's card I used the Mojo sketch Mojo Friday turns 100. Gosh, i forget who made the patterned paper but I bought it at Precious Scraps. I want to say My Minds Eye. It paired perfectly with PTI Ocean Tides. My super sweet friend Gina let me use this stamp. I dont know the name of it or the company for that matter, but she sure is cute. I colored her with Prisma and Copics. The super cute tiny flower buttons (and the button on the ribbon) are from PTI as is the ribbon and jute. I am off to make spaghetti and meatballs. You have a great night!
Cheers!

No Place Like Home
Here is a super simple card i made for a friend's house warming party yesterday. She moved to an apartment on her own for the very first time, so happy for her. I stamped PTI Boards and Beams with CTMH Sorbet onto PTI Kraft cardstock. The sentiment is also from Boards and Beams stamped with PTI Vintage Cream Ink. Cannot get much simpler than this, but sometimes simple is the best way to go. Anyway I am off to go get our prize money and our craft entries back from the fair. Woohooo i think i get $4.00 and grace will total maybe $7.00. she asked if we could go shopping after! HA cant buy too much with that! maybe we will just get ice cream!
Cheers!

Cup of Cocoa
HI Ya!! How's your Thursday?? Mine is busy, busy..I have been off this week while I get ready to start the new job. It has been 3 weeks since I accepted. I am ready to start, although it has been nice to have a week to get things around the house caught up. The only down fall is I am not getting paid for this "vacation" that is what I have been calling it anyway. I have done alot of painting and cleaning so not a whole lot of "play time". Anywho....this card was made with the Card Positioning Systems sketch 129. The background paper was made using the Polished Stone technique. I had done that paper many moons ago and just found it in my pile of scraps. The coffee cups, steam and sentiment are from PTI as is the Dark Chocolate cardstock and Shimmery Gold. Anyway kids, gotta run more chores to do. Thanks for your visit today!!!!!
Cheers!

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop
HI! thanks for stopping by I am so happy I got to play in the PTI Blog Hop this month. This month we were to make anything fall. I LOVE fall it is my FAVORITE season. I am really looking forward to it. I love fall colors and I love fall clothes. What speaks fall more than PTI First Fruits, Summer Sunrise and Ripe Avocado? I cant wait to send this to one of my friends to let her know that I am grateful that she is in my life. We have certainly been through a lot together and even though she has moved 1000 miles away I think of her everyday. She tells me her kids love when they get the mail and I have sent a card. They think I am the smartest girl in the world!! they always ask "how did she do that?" LOL
For the background paper I stamped the image all over. Did the "rock-n-roll" technique for the pineapple in Lemon Tart and Summer Sunrise and the leaf in Ripe Avocado and Dark Chocolate. Raised the pineapple with pop dots. The for you sentiment is from CTMH Say it in Style. Okay I am off to check out all of the other AMAZING creations PTI Style!

Thank You So Much
Good Friday Morning Everyone!!! Sorry I have been a bad blogger lately. Life has been REALLY busy. However I am happy to report that I should be getting my Craft On a lot this weekend! Yea. I am so happy to get back in that lovely somewhat organized mess! I made this card for my current boss. Remember I told you guys I only worked for her for 2 months and now I am leaving for a better job? Anyway, it has taken 3 weeks to finally start this better job. But Rhonda has graciously let me work extra for her until I can start. She already hired a replacement for me and everything. She has let me come in and train the new girl. It really wasn't necessary but I am so glad she did so I would not be out of work AND a PAYCHECK for a while! Her favorite place to go every morning is Starbucks so of course I just had to put a gift card in this lovely thank you card. Anyway. Hope all is well and you enjoy your Friday. We get to go to the Wilson County Fair this weekend! I am so excited. I just LOVE that fair. In fact, a tiny bit of info: The Wilson county fair is the 43rd best fair in the NATION! Not too shabby, this year is expected to bring 500,000 people over the two weeks it is here. Best of all we are supposed to have temperatures in the 85 degree range! It is usually pushing 100 degrees! AWESOME!!!!! Well gang Thanks So Much for stopping by today!
Cheers!

Sweet Award from Sue
I am privileged to have received this award from Sue. Please check her out here. Sue amazes me with her talent and I feel honored that she enjoys looking at my creations as well. So I am to let you know 5 about me. 1.) I am insanely in love with my family I know most people are but really they are my life 2.) I never thought I would be this crazy about paper crafting, I remember my best friend first introduced me to scrapbooking and i told her "oh thats great, i dont have time for that, I will give you my pictures and you can scrap them for me" little did I know once i got my hands on "stuff" I would be instantly addicted. 3.) I am grateful for my friends, i love to have people to talk to and go to movies with and to laugh and cry with. 4.) i do not have any pets. 5.) i colored a TON of gray in my hair this weekend. for crying out loud i am only 36 years old!! i should NOT have that much gray! Now I need to list 5 people i want to pass this award too. All of these ladies are super talented and I am so glad I have found them through this blog habit of mine. They all have inspired me tremendously.

A New Vols Fan To Be Born
HI! How's your Sunday? I have been a busy bee today. I finally have a chance to sit down at the computer. Some friends of mine are getting ready to have their first baby. Let me just tell you first though, they have to be the BIGGEST UT Vols fans E-V-E-R!! It is a little scary and crazy!
When the got married I made this card set for them. It was actually very funny because the cards I had made looked a lot like the wedding cake! And I did not even know what her cake was going to look like. It was a 4 tiered white cake with tiny dots all over it and each layer had orange ribbon around the bottom. I was pretty. The bride carried orange flowers too! crazy i tell ya. So it was no question that this baby boy will be a UT fan for life and needed to start the world out with UT burp cloths! I think I will also make some UT onsies. I bet this kid may be born with orange hair! LOL So this is all I have for you today. Thanks for your visit. Have a great night!
Cheers!

Beach Walk
Hola!
Got a scrap page to share with you today. While I was searching for my vehicle, I did not have much time to craft. This was a page I did shortly after we got back from Panama City Beach, FL
This is Grace and my mom and me and Grace, and me and mom walking on the beach. I was totally inspired by a layout in Scrapbook Trends Magazine. The patterned paper is Jenni Bowlin Studios, I sewed around the edge of the blue polka dot. I used some fabulous The Paper Studio flowers and nothing else than my Cricut for little leaves border that I cut out using PTI Hibiscus Burst, Tied some Hibicus Burst ribbon around some flowers. I also used the Cricut for the Lemon Tart Bracket Border. I used American Crafts Foam Stickers for the word walk. Then stamped the word beach with PTI Fresh Alphabet in CTMH Heavenly Blue ink. Thats it for now folks. We are getting ready to head over to the Wilson County Fairgrounds to turn in our entries for some contest. I am entering a scrapbook page and a card. Grace is entering a photograph and a necklace and a bracelet she made. I will let you know the outcome in a couple of weeks after the fair is over. THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT!! Enjoy your Saturday!
Cheers!

She is Finally ALMOST here!!
GIRLS!!!
We have searched HIGH and LOW for this dang car for a couple of weeks now. No Kia dealers anywhere have had these in stock. They are flying out of the showrooms. I just happened to fall in love with this one immediately when looking on the internet. I have never even heard of the Kia Soul before. Partly I guess because they just came out 2010. The transmission started messing up on my big momma car (mini van) and since the time was right with the cash for clunckers program we said LETS GO FOR IT! I really hated to have another car payment since we recently paid the van off but we were planning on down sizing the next car anyway. so blah blah blah, here we are. We called around dealerships in all the nearest surrounding states of Tennessee no luck, one dealer about 2 hours from here (Tullahoma, TN) went out of his way and found us one in OHIO. He went and picked it up for us today (the dealerships just traded cars)
We go first thing in the morning and pick up our new baby girl!!!! I am so stoked because the reviews are really great on this car and Kia's are finally making a name for themselves
comparing to the higher priced Hondas and Toyotas. So anyway thanks for listening to my rant.
Have a great night!!!!!
Cheers!

**I forgot to add, I told hubby that he has finally signed the papers and owns my SOUL** lol

Damask Fizz
Hey There!! It is Tuesday I hope you are having a GREAT one! I wish this car shopping thing was over already. It has consumed soooo much of my time lately. But I guess if I am going to invest that much money I really need to do my homework huh? You know those baby shower invitations I said I made 15 of this past weekend? Well, guess what she actually wanted BRIDAL shower invites, did I really make that mistake????? anywho, no big deal really, i am sure SOMEONE will need baby shower invites....eventually! LOL. I ran home from work yesterday and stayed up a little past my bedtime and made 20 bridal shower invites!!! can you believe that I was thoroughly impressed with myself. They turned out really cute, but I forgot to take a picture. Guess I was tired. I needed to get them made asap because I wont be working in that office after Thursday. Yes, some of you may remember that I just started this job almost 2 months ago. I got a better offer so I took it!! yeah me! For this card I saw a bedspread in the Sunday paper that gave me inspiration. Thank you for your visit!! Have a great night.
Cheers!

Wishing You A Happy Birthday
HI!! How is your Sunday? Mine is H-O-T. It was hot yesterday too. We are still car shopping. Ya know with the clunkers to cash going on the dealerships are selling out of everything! Well, everything that I want anyway. We have mostly Internet shopped. I did go and test drive one on Friday but it wasn't exactly what I want, we are searching inventory and calling around to dealers here in Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama and Georgia! How ridiculous out of 4 states these cars are selling so fast that I cant find one. Oh well, it will happen, at least mine is still drivable at the moment. Anywho I managed to get 2 cards done for fun and a set of 15 baby shower cards that a friend at work needed. I found an add in a home decor magazine that had these colors in it so that is where the inspiration came from. I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. THANK YOU for stopping by. Have a great night!

Afternoon People!! Hope all is well. Got a cute little card for ya today. I tell you I love that cricut. Obviously from the last post I was playing around with the bird die. This time i have him some color. Also made the flourishes with the cricut cartridge. And that totally fab red polka dot paper is Bitty Dots from PTI. I dont have a clue were the blue came from, just a little extra hangin out in the stash. Made some score lines on the white using my lovely scor pal. Made some stitches with the Janome. The ribbon is PTI Lemon Tart and the sentiment is PTI Mixed Messages. Hope you like, gotta run, hubby and I are looking up some cars online. We MAY go car shopping this Friday and then grandbaby 1st birthday on Saturday. Whew lots goin on!! thanks for your visit. have an awesome night!

A Little Over The Top??
Hey there folks! Hope your Tuesday has been a good one. So have you ever started adding bling to a project and just kept going, and going, and going??? LOL I think I went a little crazy here. The polka dots were made with gold embossing powder. I totally did not want to do that. I had something totally different in mind, like flourishes, so after I embossed them I was like, wait, I meant to emboss flourishes. LOL have you ever done that, intended on one thing and kinda forgot what you were doing and ended up with something else? Please tell me I am not the only one! LOL. Anywho, I also did not intend to use two birds. I cut them out in different sizes to see which one i would like best for the card. I also did not intend to make a 5x7 card but again, i dont know what happened. I guess this just WANTED to be made?!?!? Anyway I have no idea what I will use it for 50th anniversary? dont know of any of those coming up anytime soon. Wedding? Surely this is too much for a baby shower? Let me know if I missed an occasion this card could be used for. Thanks! and thanks for stopping by here today!
Cheers!

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge Week 13
Hi There!!! Its Raspberry Suite Challenge time again! This time I decided to make two cards. One for me and one for my daughter! She and her friends think they are total Rock Stars so the next birthday party girl gets this card. LOL I had a really hard time with these colors for some reason. The first card I used Background Basic Text then Clear embossed the rose from Garden of Life then sponged Berry Sorbet all over it. I think that is called color resist. The sentiment is from Damask Designs. Then the second card I used the Hannah Montana Cricut Cartridge. Although I am not a Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana fan I LOVE this cart. Lots of fun cool girly things on it! Oh, and that card is 5x7. The first one is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. So thanks for looking today. Have a great day!
Cheers!
