Aloha Birthday

Good Sunday afternoon to ya!!! Gosh this weekend has flown by so fast. I have been soooo busy. And still going. I was really hoping to get some stamp time in today but, everyone else has a different plan. I need to get ready in just a sec to take Grace to yet another birthday party. Oh, she had her recital yesterday. The girls did so good. I could watch them dance all day. Grace got one of the special awards called the Angel Award for working so hard and NEVER giving any of her teachers any trouble, always listening, and behaving. Awwwww, I am so proud of her.
This card is for the birthday party today. I used Mojo Monday sketch 86. Whoopsy Daisy paper pack from CTMH. The stamps are Imaginisce Penguin Chick and CTMH Extreme Happiness. I also used Label One die cut from Spellbinders and Treading Water punch from Fiskars. I hope you enjoyed the card. Have an awesome day the weather is sooooo beautiful here today. I also really love that you stopped by here today!!!
Cheers!

Dad You Totally Rock!

WOW! Long time no see. Sorry I have been away. Things are so busy here right now. I just finished the first layer of glitter on the stars we are making for the dance recital. I have them outside drying now so I am praying it doesn't rain!!!! I hope you all have enjoyed your week. I have had a couple of request from people at work that they need fathers day cards. Most of them want some that they can give to thier hubbies from the kids. So this card came to my mind. I pulled some flame photos off of the Internet and traced one out onto Real Red Stampin' UP! cardstock. It looked a little plain so I dragged the white and black ink pads down the flames for some dimension. That kickin' font is Excalibur SF. I did not have stamps of this sentiment nor did I have this font in stamps so I just typed it in word and printed it onto white PTI cardstock. The True Black cardstock is also PTI. The skull stamp is TAC Playful Pirates. So cute, that is probably one of my fav stamp sets. I colored his patch and do rag with a red Prisma Color marker. Got more things on the to do list so I need to run. THANKS SO MUCH for your visit today. I hope you enjoyed it.
Cheers!

Papertrey May Blog Hop

Hello!!!!
Happy Blog Hop Day!
Thank you so much for coming over to see my creation this month for PTI Blog Hop. Be sure to check out every one's entry as there is a TON of inspiration. This month we were to use yellow. Anything goes, a little or a lot. I had two ideas in mind so I went with both. The first card I used Lemon Tart and just the tiniest bit of Summer Sunrise. I also used the new Background Basics Text as the patterned paper. I stamped it with Summer Sunrise. I had tried to stamp with Lemon Tart but it faded into the paper so you really couldn't see it. The awesome flourish is the new Fancy Flourishes that I stamped and heat embossed with clear ep. I LOVE that look. Added some Lemon Tart grosgrain ribbon and a Vintage button threaded with Cream jute. I raised the entire panel on pop dots. THEN, for the second card I brought out the new Star Prints. I LOVE that set as I totally heart stars. This time I only used just a little Lemon Tart but again paired it with Summer Sunrise AND Aqua Mist. for the Summer Sunrise pattern paper I stamped it with lots of Happy Birthday sentiments from the PTI Birthday Basics. I had a little piece of the Aqua Mist made with Polka Dot Basics and clear embossing powder, so I added it for a little extra sumpin sumpin. The bottom panel was stamped with the little star in Star Prints. So that is it, thanks so much for looking have fun hoping!!!
Cheers!

OMG...AND Raspberry Suite Challenge Week 7

HI! Happy Saturday! It sure is for me because the infamous Dawn McVey pick my card as one of the In The Spotlight for the Raspberry Suite Challenge Week 6!!! Yea!! I am so excited. I am such a huge fan of hers and for her to recognize me makes me feel super special!! I am super busy this weekend, quite unexpectedly because at the last minute I was called upon by my daughters dance team coach for help decorating the stage for recital NEXT FRIDAY! What, really one week?? Just because I have one once of craftiness with paper, does not make me a stage decorator! LOL. We had a meeting yesterday, decided what we want to do then we meet today to shop for everything. We are going to be able to pull it off but we need to work our booties off this week. This totally cuts into my paper crafting time. SOOOOOO, that means I went ahead and jumped on this weeks Raspberry Suite Challenge Week 7. Fun colors again I tell ya. We have our oldest daughter coming over tomorrow for a BBQ so I wont be crafty tomorrow either. I hope you enjoy your day tomorrow. And for those of you who don't have to wake up early Monday for Memorial day I hope you enjoy that too. I however, will be working (insert frowny face here). Thank you for all your comments and for stopping by!!!
Cheers!

edt: I forgot to add that for this card I used PTI Raspberry Fizz, Spring Moss and Ripe Avocado cardstock. Stamp set is PTI Wishing You. The die cut is Nestabilities Label 4. I used the Scor Bug for the lines on Ripe Avocado. I stamped the back ground on Raspberry Fizz with Raspberry Fizz ink. Spring Moss Ribbon and the sketch is Taylor Expressions Cupcake Challenge 68.

Family Love

Good Friday Morning to you all!!! I hope you have a wonderful day today. I get to go to my friend Tina's house and play with her Anya stamps! woohooo. But first let me share this scrapbook page with you. I got this idea from a magazine, CK possibly. Just take a bunch of strips of coordinating paper to make a border around your focal point. So cute and a great way to use up some scraps. When I went on my scrapping weekend at the cabin ALL of us made a page like this. For the faux stitching I used CTMH Simple Stitches (i did not have the sewing machine at the cabin so i faked it) The patterned paper and that paper flower is My Minds Eye. Love that paper kit!!! The bar code is CTMH Code it. The family love was spelled out with American Crafts foam and felt stickers. I would like to see yours if you try it yourself. Everyone turns out so differently. I have already tried this morning to make more Father's Day cards and failed. I threw what i have done so far in the trash. I just have such a hard time with manly cards!! ARRG! I'll try again later. Thanks for stopping by. ENJOY your long weekend!!!!
Cheers!

Father's Day Foil

Happy Happy Wednesday!!!! So happy to see you today! Check out this little card made with aluminum foil. I got the idea from that crafty chick Gina K on Stamp TV here. I ran the Heavy Duty Aluminum foil through the Argyle embossing folder. Stamped the Car from TAC on PTI Stampers Select White cardstock. I also used PTI True Black. The brads are The Paper Studio.
Used a simple layout since it is a manly card. Are you going to watch the American Idol finally tonight?? I cannot wait! Therefore I need to run, gotta get some cleaning done before it comes on, I need to clean now so I don't waste my whole day off tomorrow cleaning. I need to get my Craft On for crying out loud!! Enjoy your evening boys and girls!
Cheers!

HI-YA!!!
So why have I not played with ric rac more often? I love that stuff. This ric rac is from CTMH. I remember my mom always sewing it onto my clothes she made for me when I was little. humm... maybe that is why I haven't messed with it much. This super simple card was made with Wise Owl from PTI and PTI Kraft cardstock and PTI Dark Chocolate ink along with SEI patterned paper. That is pretty much it easy peasy.

Good Sunday Afternoon to you!!!!
Hope you are enjoying your day of rest. I finally talked hubby into trying a new church this week. I think he may have liked it. I definitely want to try it again and Grace loved it. How awesome is that, Go to the beach for a week and come back to a brand new kitchen floor!!!! Love that man.
Anyway, Dawn McVey has another Raspberry Suite Challenge this week. I love these colors. I used Dark Chocolate, Berry Sorbet, Aqua Mist and White. Score lines were made on the ScorPal.
The Dots were made using PTI Polka Dot Basics and CTMH Clear Embossing Powder. The bird was made by stamping and cutting out CTMH Bird Basics I stamped the feathers in CTMH White Daisy pigment ink. Happy Birthday to you is from Around and About by PTI. That whole section is raised on pop dots. Thank you for looking and I appreciate your visit today!

Congrats Star

Hi There!!! Hope all is well. I had a wonderful day today at hip hop class, then a few of us had lunch and went to the local scrapbook store! So much fun. The sun finally came out and dried up all of the rain (and the itsy bitsy spider went up the spout again! LOL). It turned into a beautiful, warm day. And to top that off tonight is the Papertrey Release!! whoop whoop!!! You really must check out the release party tonight. This seems like it will be one of the best released yet. So much of it is totally my style. Okay onto the card. I made this one for my step daughter that will graduate in 2 weeks! (where does the time go so quickly?) I used all PTI products except for the blue, I found that in my stash. The stars stamped across the card front is Around and About by stamped in Pure Poppy, New Leaf, Summer Sunrise, Lemon Tart and Plum Pudding. The blue is Star Spangled Blue by CTMH. The Congratulations stamped across and in the circle are also from the Around and About. I used the Stampin up large and small punches and raised some of them on pop dots. The scallop punch is The Paper Studio. I hope you like it. I know Hannah will.
Thank you for stopping by today. Enjoy the PTI release if you go. Have a great night!
Cheers!

Once Upon a....

a crappy day, my sweet hubby had some beautiful flowers waiting for me. LOL. I just had to scrap about this event. I called hubby up to complain that I was having A REALLY BAD DAY at work one day. Just one of those that everything you touch falls apart. So when I got home that evening he had these beautiful flowers on the table and dinner cooked for me. HOW stinkin sweet is that?? It really made me feel so much better. I just love it when he listens to me and more than that, actually CARES!! To make this sentimental layout I used CTMH Simple Pleasures paper pack and Chocolate Alphabet stamps. I added some paper flowers from KI Memories with large brads in the middle. I know this is not the sweetest sentiment by using the word crappy but it is totally the emotion of that day. Its my scrapbook, I can put what I want to in it right? LOL. Well, I am off to make dinner guess what I am serving my wonderful family tonight? Cereal!!! Yea! easy peasy and everyone loves it! Teeheee! Thank you for your visit!!
Cheers!

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge Week 5

Good Morning Friends!!!!
It is Saturday! Yeah, It is my favorite day of the week AND I have time to play along with Dawn McVey's Raspberry Suite Color Challenge. LOVE the colors this week. I have a congratulations card to make for a friend at work who recently announced she is pregnant. What better colors to use for a pregnancy card than PINK! I started with The Angel Company stamp set called How Swell. Used the paper piecing technique for her polka dot shirt. I then used Copic Markers to color the rest of her. And I TOTALLY love the sentiment. It is Mega Mixed Messages from PTI. When someone asks me how I am, I usually say FABULOUS or ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. People at work think I have lost my mind most of the time. I thought the sentiment fit since it is absolutely fabulous that Michelle is pregnant. The colors I used are also PTI Hibiscus, Raspberry Fizz and Smokey Shadow. Also used the Paisley Cuttlebug folder for some embossing. That is it. Thanks so much for looking. Hope you enjoy your day. Today is Grace's LAST dance competition! Wooohooo!!
Cheers!

Boom Boom Pow

So today was a super fun class at hip hop. We started some moves to the Boom Boom Pow by the Black Eyed Peas. Love it! We also talked to our instructor a lot about So you think you can Dance. We are planning a get together for us to watch the show premier on 5-21-09 although he is not sure if his try out will be that day or not. So then I come home and I am all pumped up so I got more cleaning done than crafting. It's all good though, now I wont have to do that mess tomorrow and it is a TOTAL craft day EXCEPT for the part where I go have dinner with my 5 bestest girlfriends for mine and Tinas birthdays HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET FRIEND!!! I love the month of May however, it is a very, very busy month with school ending, graduations, parties, Mother's Day, birthdays etc (I know a lot of folks with May birthdays). Here is a graduation card I made for a friend to give. Not my usual style but I must say I think I will dabble in something like this again. I cut out a star and stamped it with PTI stars in Raspberry Fizz. used PTI True Black and Spring Rain cardstock. Then cut out the letters with my cuttlebug and the Your Not the Boss of Me font. I looked super duper plain so I slapped some acrylic paint on it. Kinda like the way it turned out. Okie Doke, that is it. Thank you so much for visiting!!!
Cheers!

Mother's Day Tea

Hidy Ho! Happy Wednesday!!! How are you?? Fareing well I hope. I was inspired again by Kelly Lunceford. I almost copied her card here but had to adjust it just a tad. My step mother collects teapots and teacups so it was only natural for me to make her a mothers day card with tea related schtuff. I had this teapot stamp from many moons ago. Cannot tell you the maker cuz I havent a clue. I made the embossed background with Textile cuttlebug folder and the sentiment was made on the computer. Do you see that GORGEOUS Damask Designs behind the teapot? Fabulous isnt it? I added just a teensy bit of color with Copic Markers. This card was easy peasy super quick to put together. I hope you enjoyed it. Alrighty then, I need to do some chores. Have an awesome night. Hope to see you tomorrow.
Cheers!

I Like Big Dots and I Cannot Lie.......

Teeheee... How old is that song now? It still makes me smile. I hope you are having a happy Tuesday! Life is good! I love this little card. It was inspired by my daughters new bathing suit.
Love when inspiration hits like that. Grace loved the card too, she calls it her bathing suit card.
I used PTI True Black, Raspberry Fizz, New Leaf, Summer Sunrise and the blue is Stampin' Up! Tempting Turquoise. Fun stuff I tell ya. I made another one like it but used Raspberry Fizz Saddle Stitch ribbon and used star gems on the sentiment. I forgot to take a pic of it before it was given away. Well, sweet hubs is out grilling the burgers so I am gonna go keep him company, it feels so nice outside, a little cloudy but still nice. I totally appreciate you stopping by!!!!
Cheers!

Hot Stuff

So while I am posting layouts of my baby girl, I will share this one too. I like the way it turned out. Grace is such a ham. She really doesn't have a choice. I have stuck a camera in her face since she was born. She LOVES posing for the camera. I'd say the camera loves her. She totally cracks me up. Makes me smile every single day! For this sassy little layout I used Jenni Bowlin label paper and polka dot paper. The pink patterned paper is CTMH Notebook. I LOVE that paper.
I have been hoarding it for a while and finally broke down and used it. Why do I hoard those yummy papers and embellishments. I buy them to USE them right? CTMH Notebook also came with some matching stickers. I added some CTMH Paper flowers a random button. The felt stickers that spell hot is American Crafts and stuff was stamped with CTMH Delightful Alphabet.
I am glad the house was picked up in the background in the pics. Do you ever notice that in pics?? So, thanks a million for visiting today. I hope you enjoyed. Have a great night!
Cheers!

My Tiny Dancer

Every time I call Grace my Tiny Dancer I think of that Elton John song...hold me closer tiny dancer...can't you just hear it?! Anyway this is a scrap page I did on my scrappy weekend a couple of weeks ago. It is very simple but I LOVE the GIANT black velvet flower and leaves. I picked those up at a Jenni Bowlin sale once, They are by Heidi Swapp. The pink and black papers are by Teresa Collins. It brock my heart to use it really because the back sides are soooooo fabulous. I guess I am going to need to get more so I can use the other side. The pink ribbon is some old Stampin up I had it did not photograph well, the ribbon looks so much nicer in person. I did the journaling on it yesterday. In fact I did finished up all of my journaling yesterday for National Scrapbook Day. Did not make one single layout however. Well, I need to get things ready for work tomorrow after I bloghop for a few minutes. I hope you come back tomorrow night. I will have more to share. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great night!
Cheers!

Spring Inspiration

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!!!

I hope everyone gets a chance to play in their scrap rooms today. It is a super rainy day so it is just perfect for scrapping and card making. This first project I wanted to work on this morning is the challenge at PTI. See Nichole's blog for info. I chose Kelly Lunceford's Challenge of the purple Tulips. I do not have any Tulip stamps so I worked with what I had. For the green in the stems and leaves I used Spring Moss, the purple I used Plum Pudding and I pulled out a little bit of the grey from the photo using Soft Stone. It seemed to need something else so I added a few flat pearls by The Paper Studio. The Sentiment is Heartfelt Basics and the flower is Garden of Life.
The scallops were made using Fiskars Apron Strings punch. So there you have this is how I was inspired. Thanks for looking! Have a awesome day!
Cheers!

Kreative Ladyblogs May Challenge

It is finally Friday Folks!!!!
It is May 1st an my turn to host the Kreative Lady Blogs monthly challenge at SCS.
I chose of us to make a birthday OR mothers day card since my birthday is in May AND my birthday falls on Mother's Day this year. My favorite color changes all the time as does my favorite food, movies, songs etc. However, my favorite color combo is still Pink and Black. So my challenge to this group was to make a Mother's Day or Birthday card using Pink and Black. Here is mine. The cupcake stamp is CTMH Cupcake Sprinkles and the sentiment is CTMH Happy Birthday. The cardstock is PTI True Black and Stampers Select White. The patterned paper I just recently bought is PTI Bitty Dots, it is full of polka dot paper in 15 colors. I LOVE it. I have lots of stuff to accomplish today so I am off. Feel free to participate in this challenge even if you are not in the group. Upload to SCS using Keyword KLBMayCH. Enjoy your day! Glad you came over to visit today!
