Dawns Raspberry Suite Challenge Week2

Helllllooo!! Happy Monday! Thanks for tuning in! I got to play in Dawn's Raspberry Suite color challenge this week. Yipee! Here is what I came up with. I used Stampin' Up! Taken with Teal, Certainly Celery. Papertrey Ink Dark Chocolate and Stampers Select White. The stamp set is PTI Garden of Life and Recipe box Label. The little pearls at the top are Just Pearls by SMH that I picked up at Precious Scraps. They are really cute but the white in them doesn't show up so much in the pic. I cut out the recipe box label and added to the bottom of the main panel then raised the entire piece on dimensionals. Quick and easy. I also cut out a teal flower and leaf and added it on the inside of the card. Okie Dokie, I gotta run, if you read my last post you know I have not much time at all to get 150 cards done. I also JUST completed my step daughter's graduation invitations!! OH MY! Why do I get myself into these things? Thanks for the visit and I hope you enjoy your night!
Cheers!

Whiff of Joy and a Death Wish!

ring ring:
Me: Hello
Girl: Hi Julie, I really like the card you made for me. My daughter is having an event and I would love it if you could make this card in these colors: black&white, silver and purple.
Me: Sure
Girl: Okay great, I need 300 of them
Me: Holy Shikes!
Girl: by April 7th
Me: Holy Shikes! I am truly sorry but that is impossible, I am a one man show.
Girl: I understand, how about 150
Me: UH! okay!?!?!
ring ring
Mom: Hello
Me: Mom, i just had someone order 150 cards. OMG, I still have to order stuff, Grace has a dance competition Saturday, what was I thinking........
Mom: I'll come over, we'll get them done.
Me: Your the BEST mom EVER!
Mom: Yes, See you Friday.
Me: Thanks, I love you!
So that was Saturday, Good think PTI delivers in a FLASH!!!
Now, on to my card. This image is from Whiff of Joy sent to me by Jennifer from our blog group.
Any Whiff of Joy was on my image swap request. Jennifer's mother had some so she asked her to stamp a few for me. And she did, and also made a cute little holder to ship them in. Aren't moms awesome! I just got the That's Amore paper pack from CTMH and thought it would be great with this image. I colored her with Copic Markers and used Mojo Monday Sketch69 for the layout. Used Spellbinders scallop rectangle and Favorite Findings buttons. I think she turned out great considering I am still new to Copic coloring. Well, as you can see from the conversation above I need to get a move on. Thanks for your visit. I hope to be back soon. Peace Out!!!
Cheers!

Inching by just to say HI

Hola..Happy Friday!!! I have so many errands to run today and it just started raining. Poo! Oh well, I am off from work and my sweet Gracie is still on spring break so we will make the best of it. I have a quick card to share. This card uses last months PTI release of Melon Berry. I had forgotten to order the ink but what do you know...CTMH had a new color this year called Sorbet and it matches PERFECTLY!!!! Yea!! I was so excited. The Caterpillar is from Pond Life also PTI.
I ran half of the card through the Swiss Dot cuttlebug folder then scored lines on top and bottom of the Caterpillar. Attached some ribbon both from PTI and a cute little Vintage button and called it a card. Easy Peasy. Okie dokie, I am off. Thank you for coming to look at my blog today. I hope you enjoyed. Have an AWESOME DAY!!!!!!!!
Cheers!

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

HI!!!!
Here is my project for the Papertrey Ink monthly blog hop. I have not been able to participate the last couple of times. Anywho......we are to make a background using stamps. This is what I came up with I am LOVIN' the Damask set by Dawn McVey for PTI. I stamped it in black onto Stampers Select White Cardstock. Mounted that onto True Black and then onto Spring Moss.
It is pretty super simple but makes a statement, I think anyway. Hope you enjoyed. I must run off now to check out the other participants. THANK YOU for coming to look. Go check out the other entries in the forum at PTI.

Card Box in Raspberry Fizz

Hey Girls! How was your Saturday? I had a little crafting day with some friends. I decided to make the All Wrapped Up box from Timeless Templates from PTI. If you have not ever checked out any of the templates that Lauren Meader designs for PTI you should REALLY check it out. That girl has some serious talent!! And the templates are only $5.00 through PTI you download them and have them forever along with instructions and ideas. I made this box using Raspberry Fizz (some of you know how much I am in LOVE with that color) and Stampers Select White and Raspberry Fizz Patterned Paper. PTI cardstock is the best to use with this box because it is so sturdy. I am not be finished with the design on the outside because I am not sure who I made this for yet and for what occasion. Now I just have it almost done for a quick gift when needed. the other pics are of the box open with cards in it and without the cards so you get the idea of how much it can hold. Depending on how much you embellish your cards you can fit 4-6 with envelopes. The next couple of days I will share the cards I made to match the box. Hope you enjoy it!! Have an awesome tomorrow. And thanks so much for coming by here. I enjoy your company!
Cheers!

Damask and Melon Berry

Happy Happy Friday!!!!!!! Oh, it look like it is going to be a beautiful day today!!! I must get out of the house today...especially since the roofers are putting on a new roof today....I don't want to listen to all that banging and racket! So today I wanted to share the first card I made with a new set from PTI called Damask that was designed by the sweet and talented Dawn McVey. I also played with PTI new color (last month) Melon Berry. The little bitty design above the black is rubon from Creative Imaginations. The sentiment is Heart Print Sentiments. I cut and embossed a Curvy Rectangle from Spellbinders for a main image. My dh says it looks like the mark that psychiatrist use for the patients to determine what the spot is. He said that doctors name that invented it but I cannot remember now. He so crazy! Well tooda-loo for now gang!
thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy your Friday!
Cheers!

Hippy Chick

Hey!! How are you? Doin' well I hope. Here is a little card I made for my daughters friend birthday party. My sweet friend Gina let me borrow Hippy Chick Hanna. She makes me smile. I colored her with Copic Markers and the tye dye paper I picked up at Joann. That is it. I actually wanted to put more stuff on the card like flowers but, we were running out the door to the party so this was all I could do. Fortunately Gina let me stamp several of the images so I will be able to make another one like I want to. I know....you were worried!! LOL. Okie dokie, I am off. Thanks so much for your visit! Hope you have a great night.
Cheers!

Get Well Soon

Hi There!!!!!
Hope you are enjoying your Friday! Wooohooo the week-end is here! We are leaving in just about an hour for Birmingham Alabama for Grace's dance competition. However I will be back by Saturday evening as her team will be finished by 2 or 3:00. That will get me home in time for the Papertrey Release Party!!!! You need to check it out if you can. They seem to have lots of yummy stuff for this month. This card below is a PTI products card. The colors were inspired by a folder we bought at my daughters favoritest store ever called Justice (just for girls). It is such a cute little store and Grace can spend hours in there! Cardstock is Dark Chocolate, Lemon Tart, Berry Sorbet and Ocean Tides as is the ink. Stamps are Flower Garden. The punch is Fiskars
I also used Ocean Tides grosgrain ribbon. I stamped the flowers on White cardstock and then stamped the flowers again on separate cardstock and cut them out, raised them on dimensionals on top of the rectangle piece and also the leaves in the stem. Then mounted that onto Curved Rectangles Spellbinder die. Okay, need to pack up the car now. Have a great weekend!
Cheers!

Floral Frenzy Tags

Sup???
Hope your day is well! Mine is FAN-TABULOUS! I got my notice last night that one of my cards got accepted into Card Trends Magazine for the August 2009 issue!!! Yippppeeeeee. I am super excited. That makes two now. Yea Me! Okie Dokie, Todays card i love because it makes me think of spring/summer. Actually the Cards Mag called for cards using Mustard Yellow, Teal, and Gray. What a combo huh? So this is what I came up with but it wasnt chosen. And that is okay because a different one was wooohoo. I began by stamping the polka dots in CTMH Grey Flannel on the background. Then made tags with Grey Wool, Ocean and Honey cardstock. I used second generation stamping for the lighter Ocean color on the flowers then stamped the outline image with Grey Wool. Cut each flower out and raised on dimensionals. I cut out a teeny weeny Honey circle then used Liquid Glass for dimension. (Love that stuff). The super cute polka dot ribbon is PTI and the buttons are Favorite Findings. I hope you like it, it is better in person however. Have a great night! DD gets to stay home with me tomorrow as school is closed for illness. But thank goodness she is not sick so we can play! Thank you so much for coming to see me today. I truly appreciate it!
Cheers!

Orange Butterfly

Hi There! Happy Friday! woohooo the weekend is here! I was able to participate in the Limited Supplies Challenge today a SCS. I have not participated in a while so this was fun. We had to make a card in less than 30 minutes. I had the card made, area cleaned up and photo taken in way less than 30 mins! wooohooo. It probably to me longer to get the photo uploaded as I was having some technical difficulties. I used that awesome PTI Stampers Select White for my base and PTI Summer Sunrise (my fav) cardstock and PTI Fathers Knows Best patterned paper. Then for the stamp I chose CTMH Butterfly kisses for the butterfly and the sentiment. I used second generation stamping for the solid color on the butterfly in CTMH Goldrush. Then for the main focus on the butterfly and the sentiment I stamped in PTI Summer Sunrise Ink. Then cut the butterfly out, raised it on a dimensional and called it a day! Love fast and furious cards. LOL. Thanks for coming by let me know what you think of this quicky. Have an awesome day!
