Grandbaby's Valentine Card

Hola Senoras' and Senoritas'
Hope you all are having a wonderful Saturday. Mine has been just great, the house was already clean except for a few loads of laundry (how does it accumulate so dang fast???). I got to meet my 5 very best girlfriends for lunch today. It was awesome how we all managed to have a Saturday free at the same time and on just a moments notice! Well, on to todays card I want to share. This Valentine card is for my precious grandbaby Logan. He is only 5 months old but I am sure he will love to look at the vibrant colors...so much so that he will try to eat it (he is trying to cut some teeth) teehee. I did not have any paper that had these colors in it (shock!!) I thought I had everything. So, what is a crafty girl to do other than make her own. I made the stripe paper with my Prismacolor Markers and the orange is Copic Ciao Marker making some imperfect lines. Then for the pattern I used the lined star from Reach for the Stars from CTMH and the solid star and heart from Around and About by PTI. For the sentiment I used PTI again Heart Prints I did have to mask off ( 's) from Valentine. That super cute UFO is CTMH Reach for the Stars. I used my Copic markers to color it in. I still need lots of practice with Copics but, I am having fun in the process. The red cardstock is PTI Pure Poppy the Orange is CTMH and the blue I got from my stash and I think it is Hobby Lobby. So anyway, I have rambled long enough. Got to start dinner. It is an early bed time tonight as we have another dance competition alllll day long tomorrow. Thanks for the visit!! I appreciate your time.
Cheers!

Valentine card and a Dance pic

Hidy Ho Folks!
Well, we made through our very first dance competition. Here is a pic of the chaos backstage. Grace and the team did great. They won a couple of first place, second and third places. We have to do this again next Sunday, sheesh I was exhausted from just running backstage to change hair and outfits then back out to the audience again. It was fun though and the girls had a blast. Well, I imagine you came here to see a card...and I do have one for you. I made a bright Valentine's Day card using my new Raspberry cardstock from PTI, oooooooooo, I love, love, love this color!
You should really get some. The stamp set is Heart Prints also PTI. I also used PTI colors Summer Sunrise, Spring Moss, Lemon Tart and Plum Pudding. I made a few scor lines using the scor pal and some delicious Swiss Dot Raspberry Fizz ribbon. You should really get some of that ribbon too. You should just get the entire collection of Raspberry Fizz. Okay, that's it, I NEED to make some hot chocolate for the family. Thank you for the visit today. I hope you enjoyed!
Cheers!

Evening boys and girls. Thanks for making your way over here today. Since I shared a Fathers Day card yesterday I wanted to share a Mothers Day card today. I used all PTI schtuf. The stamp set is Floral Frenzy and Mother is from Women of Life I stamped on Vintage Cream and used Ocean Tides and Aqua Mist ink and cardstock. I am sooo sorry but I forget where I got the sketch although I want to say I got it from Splitcoast Stampers. I raised the main image on foam dots. Pretty simple. My mom loved it though. Mr & Mrs

Remember me posting some pics of layouts from a wedding album I helped a friend with. Well, here is another one from thier wedding in Jamacia. The base page is SU Whisper White the bracketed paper and patterned paper is Jenni Bowlin. I added a little strip of CTMH Buttercup that I punched with Fiskars Threading Water punch (which I heart very much). Then added some pretty yellow paper flowers from The Paper Studio and adheared them with The Paper Studio white brads. I stamped Mr & Mrs from The Works Alphabet by CTMH. That is it, easy peasy page but I love it. I love the light colors and the simpleness of it. Okie Dokie, off to spend a Saturday night with the hubs. Thanks for coming to visit!!!!

Nothing is Worth More

Hello scrappy friends! Man, it was cold outside today. I know nothing like in the north, but shoot. It nearly took my breath away. However, I only had to be outside just a little. I am so VERY thankful for a roof over my head and heat. I pray for those without.
I am sharing a card I made for my sister who got Baptized last Sunday. She and her daughter got Baptized together, very cool. I love the soft shade of PTI Aqua Mist. I also used PTI Everyday Blessings patterned paper and stamp set. The sentiment reads: Nothing is Worth More than this Day. Those fabulous pearls were sent from my sweet friend Jak from the UK.
It is gorgeous in person, if I do say so myself. I used PTI Aqua Mist ink as well as CTMH Breeze. Oh, I almost forgot. I used Mojo Monday sketch64.
That's it for today boys and girls. Thank you for your time. I love having you here.
Cheers!

Blogger Group 7 Challenge

Hello There! Hope your weekend has been FAB so far. Everything was going well until the Titans lost the playoff game today :-( Oh well, that's life. Anywho..... I wanted to share a card I made for our blogger group over at SCS. The first challenge is to create a Valentines Day card using anything EXCEPT Red, Pink or White. I decided to go monochromatic with purple. I used Bazzil textured card stock and PTI Love Notes stamp set. I stamped the little hearts on the top panel with CTMH Pansy Purple as well as the sentiment and the X's and O's. I stamped the platter of hearts and cut it out then mounted with dimensionals. I lined each heart with the sakura glitter gel pen. The little rhinestones I found in the $1.00 spot at Target. They may actually be for cell phone bling! That is pretty much it. I wont be here tomorrow as my sweet hubby is running a 50K in the am!!!!!!!! WOW that is 31 miles. He just turned 50 years old this past Wednesday and his goal was to run a 50K for his 50th birthday and the crazy man is going for it! He has several people meeting him at different points along the way so he wont be by himself much. He is running to down town Nashville to meet friends and family at the Broadway Brewhouse. I think the last thing I'd want after running like that would be a beer but, that is a man for ya huh? Hope
you have a great tomorrow!!
Cheers!

Mojo Monday68

Gooooood Friday Morning to YOU!!I hope your day has started out well. Today I wanted to participate in the MojoMonday contest.I love playing along with their sketches. For today's card I used my tried and true Papertrey Ink products. If you have not tried PTI yet you really need to. I used thier Pink Patterned Paper and Forrest Friends stamp set. The card stock is also PTI Berry Sorbet and Stampers Select White. The ink used is Berry Sorbet, Sweet Blush, Spring Moss, and CTMH Sweet Leaf. The yummy ribbon is also PTI Berry Sorbet twill. I used Spellbinders Wavy Curves die then sponged the edges. I also used Creative Memories oval cutter to cut out the sentiment. I trimed a little extra off of the oval mat as it makes a 1/4 inch border and I wanted a little less. That is pretty much it for the card. Thanks so much for visiting me today. I hope you enjoy your weekend!!!
Cheers!

Sisters

Good Monday Evening to you All!
I hope you had a good day, mine was well.. stinky. But I am home now and this card makes me smile so it is getting better. I used a sketch from iheart2stamp.com you should check her out she has really great sketches. I used The Angel Company Uptown Girl patterned paper and DCWV black card stock. The fuchsia pink is CTMH Bubblegum and the White is PTI. NO, I was not playing how many companies can I fit on one card, but that does sound like a good challenge huh? My awesome friend Gina had a stamp that read "I am smiling because we are sisters, I am laughing because you cannot do anything about it" I have remembered this stamp because it is perfect for me and my sister. I did however add profanity to the card to make more humerus for her, I hope you are not offended. She will get a huge kick out of it. Her birthday is Wednesday as is my husband's. Lots of bdays in Jan also my daughter-in-law, my daughter and my nephew whew, the holidays do not end for us in January. The stamps are also TAC Playful Pirates, I just love that set. I colored them with my new Copics LOVE THEM! Since I did not have the sentiment stamp I typed it up and printed it from my computer. I used Spellbinders Label One die. LOVE THAT DIE! I stamped and cut out the small skull and cross bone for the inside of the card and raised it on dimensionals. I hope you like this card as much as I do. Thank you so much for the visit!
Cheers!

Baby Shower

Happy Sunday!!!
I played along again today over at SCS for the Featured Stamper Challenge. Where you browse a featured gallery and case a card. I chose a simple card because I had something basic in mind anyway for this baby shower invitation. We have ANOTHER baby coming at work. My friend is very simple and not fru-fru at all AND we dont know if it is a boy or girl yet so I used unisex colors and no ribbon. I used the scor-pal for the lines and PTI Polka Dot Parade paper with PTI Summer Sunrise and Lemon Tart card stock and PTI Bitty Baby Blessings stamp. I colored the duck with my Copic Markers. Still so much to learn with those. On the other card I tried paper piecing but I am so bad with that. Much practice needed there two. Thanks so much for coming by my way today. I hope you have a wonderful day!
Cheers!

I used CTMH Good Times paper pack and Bird Basics stamp set. The sentiment is PTI Birds of a Feather. The ribbon and twine is CTMH and I cannot tell you where the button came from. I THINK I got the basics of the layout from iheart2stamp. I already tossed the sketch. SORRY. Thank you so much for visiting me. Hope your weekend is Fab!
