Proud Papas

Hello Peeps. still more scrapbook pictures to share. I have not made cards all weekend and this has been a super busy week so far so have not done ANY crafting yet!! I love this pic of my husband and his son and his son's son. I used TAC patterned paper and the scallop cardstock is bazzill. I stamped letters with SU Headline alphabet and cut them out. Then I used my friend Tina's (thanks girl ;-) paisley punch from CM and added some paisley here and there. Pretty simple page. Pretty excited I get to visit the little man tomorrow night!
Thanks for visiting me today!!!!
Cheers!

Dancing Queen

Happy Sunday Everyone! Wow what a busy weekend I had however, it was nice except I did not get much crafting time :-( Here is another couple of layouts from CNC. They are of my daughters after school dance group (now she is on a dance team). The pattern papers are BasicGrey. Black and White is CTMH. Flowers are The Paper Studio and the rhinestones and stamps are all CTMH. I used CM pen to draw uneven lines around the bracket, photo and journaling box on the first page and I used SU rubons on the second page. Hope you all have a great week these next few days coming up. I hope to catch up on some crafting. Hard to do when
you work 12 hour days fortunately it is only 3 days (unless I pick up extra for $$). Thanks for
coming to visit me!!!
Cheers!

Sept PapertreyInk Bloghop Hostess Gift

Hello!! Welcome to my project for the PTI September Bloghop! Click here for all the details. To get a list of all the participants click here and then click on September. There is so much creativity in the PTI world. I feel lucky to have found this great company. So, My project focuses on a gift for the Christmas Party Hostess. I first started with a 4 pack of Jones Soda and
OMG can I just first tell you how dang good Jones soda is??? It is THE best soda I have ever
had. It is made of pure sugar cane and it is DEFINITELY a dessert and should not be paired with your meal LOL! Click on the link above and find out fun little facts about Jones Soda Company. Okay on to the project... I covered the carrier with PTI Kraft paper and my favorite detail I put on this project is the faux hardware. I punched out lable punches from SU in PTI Dark Chocolate cs then added brads to make it look like hinges. I decorated the front of the carrier with Boards and Beams and Home for the Holidays stamp sets, colored them in with various markers CTMH,Prisma and Creative Memories. Then each bottle was cleaned and filled with different snacks. I used mixed nuts, pastel mints and M&M's. You could and SHOULD just
give the Jones Soda!! The recipient would love you for it. I decorated each bottle using PTI stamps Made of Snow, Rustic Branches, Rustic Snowflakes and Merry & Bright. I had started this project before my Pure Poppy cs came in so I used SU real red. I did use Pure Poppy ribbon though. I also used some green saddle stitch ribbon I got at JoAnn on clearance after Christmas.
One reason I used Jones Soda is because the tops are twist off therefore making it PERFECT for
reusing. I ran ribbon around each cap and then punched a circle for the very top of the cap. This is such a fun project to do and you can fill the bottles with just about anything such as lotions and soaps and bath crystals. Also scrapbooking goodies like paperclips, buttons, brads and rhinestones. I have to confess however, I got the premise of this idea on a TV show a couple of years ago. Hope you enjoyed it, I am off to check out all of the other projects!
Cheers!

Scrapbook Weekend Page 2

Hi thanks for coming back to see me again today. If this is your first time WELCOME and thanks for the visit! This is another page I did this past weekend. I think it is one of my favs. The background paper is CTMH Silhouette. The red heart is Reminisce Flirt (mom got that for me one day thanks mom). The ribbon is super old and don't even know where I got it much less who the maker is. It is around a giant paper clip also hung on the paper clip is a CTMH clear charm that I backed with red paper. you cannot tell in the pic but the charm is etched with a really cute heart. the flowers are paper flowers by CTMH and I colored a couple of them with a dauber and red ink, Holiday red by CTMH. I matted each photo with Bamboo cs by CTMH. I absolutely LOVE this picture of baby Logan and his mom and dad. I was snapping pics of Logan when in the background of one of them I saw Steven and Heather holding each others leg. I just thought that was the sweetest thing. And every time I see it, it makes me smile. The handwritten journaling says "Little man, (that is what we call him)...you were born because your mom and dad love each other". The photo of Logan had my legs in it so I decided to try a little trick I learned on CraftTV.com. To distress the background with a Tonic knife of some sort but I used my scissors 'cause that is all I had. It also said you can carefully bleach out the background. I was at a retreat so we did not have bleach handy ;-) Well I hope you enjoyed the layout today. Thanks again for the visit. Hope you have a SUPER GREAT day!!
Cheers

Scraptabulous Weekend!!!!

OMG you guys!!!!
What a super duper fun weekend we had this weekend at Craft-N-Camp. The weather was PERFECT and the cabins that we stayed in at Camp Widgiwagan were BRAND NEW!! We were the first people to sleep in them. OMG how fabulous. I felt like we were in Gatlinberg. The cabins were just walking distance to the main hall where we crafted. So the scenery through the woods was just awesome. Saturday morning we saw deer 4 of them actually. They were not afraid of us at all and stood close by watching us probably wondering what in the world we are doing in their house!! Anyway, I only got 12 pages completed. I have never gotten so little completed but it doesn't matter it was a blast to spend a weekend with 85 women. This first layout I have to show you is my girl Gracie. I took these photos outside in our back yard one day when she was totally up to "Vogueing" for me. I turned the pics black and white because I had this paper in mind already and I did not want the color to contrast. The paper is Bohemia by My Minds Eye. The crown bling is Heidi Swapp and could not coordinate better! I stamped a little skull and cross bone from TAC and added more bling from The Paper Studio onto its eye for a bling patch!
I added more bling here and there around on the paisley paper. I used a template that I hand made for the brackets and cut it out. The ribbon is CTMH twill as is the paper clip with it. I sure have missed scrap booking and was so glad to get some pages done. Thanks so much for the visit today. Hope you Enjoy the view!
Cheers!

Last post for the weekend

Hiddy Ho!!
Hope you are having a great day!!! I have this gift bag to share today. Instead of stuffing the bag with tissue paper I decided to use a bag topper. I just used a whole 8 1/2x11 sheet of card stock
and scored where it would bend over the bag. Then i sliced slits for the handle to come through.
Then decorated the front of it. I used PTI cs the black though is DCWV. The skull and "cross bone flowers" are from TAC Playful Pirate. I colored the tiara in with CTMH markers and the skull with black prisma marker and used stickles for some shine.
Here is a close up!
You have seen this card before. I posted it a while back. It also uses Playful Pirates and thought
it would go with the bag pretty well. The recipient loved it. Of course she just turned 13. She is on the dance team with my daughter and we bought her a cute dance shirt that was also pink and black and some body glitter. Girls love glitter, especially dancers!
Thank you for coming by. I hope you like the bag topper I will definitely do it again.
I will be out ALL WEEKEND LONG!!! Going on a scrapbook retreat. See you all soon!!!
Cheers!

NeverMore

Happy Hump Day!
Every time I see this raven from PTI Birds of a Feather it has reminded me of Edgar Allan Poe's poem "The Raven" and I thought it perfectly suitable for Halloween! The pattern paper is from Imaginisce the black pattern is the backside of the stripes then i cut another piece showing off the awesome autumn colors. I love that paper (thanks mom) the orange is Autumn Terracotta that i ran through my spiderweb cuttlebug folder from CTMH as well as the Gray Wool. I do not have this label 1 die from spellbinders yet although it is nearly killing me to get my hands on it!!! So to compromise I used a bracket stamp from CTMH Serendipity. I stamped the bracket in a box shape on the back of the card stock then cut it out..presto! my own label die! The branch is from Out on a Limb from PTI. I cut the Raven out and set him on pop dots. Oh, and the sentiment is from PTI Spooky Sweets 2. Thanks for the visit I sure hope you like the card I had to offer today. Hope to see you tomorrow!!!
Cheers!

Afternoon Crafters!
As promised I am sharing another Halloweeny card. I ADORE this witch from PTI Spooky Sweets 2. And guess what....I used MORE digi paper. Isnt this one super fun??? I love green
and black together. I printed this one right before my black ink went out ;-)
I stamped the witch onto PTI white then embossed and cut her out with oval shaped nestabilities. The black cs is DCWV and I stamped the sentiment with CTMH white daisy pigment ink. The sentiment is also PTI SS2. This fun green color ribbon is Offray. This is a
very basic layout but when you have Fab paper and Awesome stamps, you dont need
a fancy layout!! I Hope you liked the card today. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great night!

Crazy Cat

Evening Everyone!
Hope your work week is starting out great. This week I have Halloween stuff to share. I loves me some Halloween!! The cat and sentiment is from PTI Spooky Treats 2. The pattern paper is some more of that fun FREE digi paper from Becky Oehlers, it is actually supposed to be black and orange bats however, my black in cartridge is out so it came out grey. No fear, just work with it right?? The orange is CTMH Autumn Terracotta that I ran thru a spider web cuttlebug folder. I cannot tell you what kind of grey paper that is, it was in my scrap stash it is metallic like and pretty kewl though. The black paper is DCWV. I punched out the scallop circle from SU scallop punch. The nifty silver on the scallop is liquid pearls platinum. I had a lot of fun making this card I just love Halloween and all the candy and kids dressing up. Hope you enjoyed your stay and the view!!! Thanks for coming. C U 2morrow!!!

New Hobby

Happy Sunday Folks!!!!
Well...I have discovered a new hobby! Sheesh, like I needed a new one. My friend Gina and I, my mom and some other friends took a jewelry class at JoAnn on Friday night. We had so much fun, first we started with dinner then the class!! Always gotta add dinner when ever you meet
the girls for anything!! My soul purpose to take this class was to learn how to make a bracelet after I saw Nichols post on making paper beads
I just fell in love with it and soooooo wanna make some for Christmas gifts. This is the earring and bracelet ensemble I made in class. Since then Grace and I have made bracelets too. She wants me to post those so I will after I take some pics. Thanks for stopping by today check out Gina's blog and the earrings and bracelet that she made. Super cute!!

Cappuccino Anyone

Bon jour!
Hope your day has been well. Gracie was out of school today for teacher inservice so we got to go shopping and "do lunch". We had a great time just she and I. Just the girls, doin' our thing. She got some pretty fake finger nails too. This is the first pair she has had. It has been quite funny to watch her, even though they are not long at all, she cannot seem to function. She cannot open the bag of crackers, or put her stuff in her backpack, lets see if she can brush her teeth tonight. Teehee. Annnnnyway. Today I have another coffee card to share. I used the same paper pack and stamp set from a few post ago. The pattern paper is CTMH Harvest, the cs is CTMH Autumn Terracotta and the brown is PTI Dark Chocolate. I sponged the AT cs to match the
distressing of the pattern paper. I added white dots all around to jazz things up a little bit. I like
fothy coffee so I added liquid applique. The hardware is from SU antique finish Hodgepodge Hardware. So that is it in a nutshell. Thank you for visiting me. When I finally get 10k hits I will have some Blog Candy. Yea!!!!
Cheers!

More Digi Paper

Hi Ya! Hope all is well. I am not finished playing with my FREE digi paper from Becky Oehlers yet so here is another card. Same colors and supplies as last post however, I used a stamp from
TAC called Love and Laughter. I love this stamp set and the beautiful sillhouettes it makes. I am not quite sure what I want the sentiment to be on this yet or if I want one at all. I guess it is okay to not have a sentiment on a card huh??? TFL enjoy your tomorrow!!!

Hope you are having a super duper Monday. I have, it was b-u-s-y at work today BUT we had enough staff to handle it!! woohoo. love that. Anywho..whoo...whoo. Teehee, wanna share this owl card with you today but first let me share info about this designer paper. Well, cruising through blogs I like to visit. I discovered that Becky Oehlers designs paper and puts them on her blog for you to download and print for FREE. How flippin' kewl is THAT! You gotta go check it out she has some really fun and beautiful papers. On this card I used two prints. I paired them with CTMH Chocolate and SU Cool Caribbean. I stamped on PTI stampers select white. I stamped Out on a Limb and Wise Owl from PTI. I colored the owl with Prisma Markers. I also sponged just a little Cool Caribbean in the "sky" added a SU photo hanger and some pretty satin ribbon and called it a day! Thanks for coming by my way today. Hope to see you over here again.

Papertrey Purple

Happy Sunday All!!!
I hope you are enjoying the last day of the weekend. I wanted to share a card with you today that I made for a friend at work that LOVES dragonflies. I stared off with PTI Lavender Moon
and Plum Pudding card stock, ink and ribbon. Even with how thick the PTI card stock is you are
still able to run it through the cuttlebug and embossing folder just fine and dandy. I used the argyle folder here. I {heart} that folder! I stamped the dragonfly from CTMH Flutter set. Then I ran it through the cuttlebug cutting and embossing an oval shape. Trying to do something a little different with the ribbon I chose to display it like this. The sentiment is from PTI Mailbox Greetings. All in all it is a simple card but Christine LOVED it. Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have a great rest of the weekend. Craft On Sisters!!
Cheers!

SCS Challenge

Hello!!!! Happy Friday!
I wanted to play along with SCS Limited Supplies Challenge today! Our instructions were to use Orange (any shade) and Coffee. Well, I loves me some coffee so I HAD to play. Here is my take.
I used CTMH Coffee Shop and paper pieced it using CTMH Harvest paper pack. (Same paper pack as the leaf card a few entries down)and stamped "coffee" on the Colonial White back ground. For the sentiment I used PTI Floral Frenzy (Hello). The Dark Chocolate cs is PTI (yum) and so is the ribbon (yum again). I used real coffee grounds in the liquid applique to add even more texture and the hardware used is SU hodgepodge in antique finish. The coffee panel is raised on pop dots. The card came together pretty quickly and is 5x5. I don't use that size very much but the coffee cup is large and I thought it would look better on a bigger card. Thanks for
visiting me today. I hope you all have a FABULOUS weekend!!!
Cheers!

Still Scrappin'

Gooood Mornin'! Nice to see you this am. Today I am sharing a layout I did of a wedding pic of my mother and father-in-law from December 1956. I had redone their entire wedding album into photo safe scrap book. I had a few duplicate pics that I saved for myself and hubby. I just broke this one out a couple of weeks ago. I copied this layout concept from Scrapbook Trends Magazine August issue. I TOTALLY LOVE that mag. Although it is a little expensive, the artwork is phenomenal. I used a pack called Wedding Day from Creative Memories. I cut out some of the pattern paper to use as embellishments. The scallop piece is also CM Legacy die cuts. I used fake dew drops. I don't know what brand that brown and green card stock is. I got it in a monthly kit many moons ago. The definition of Cherish and Forever (at the top you cannot see it) is Making Memories. All the circles were punched with CM circle punch and all the edges were inked with Cats Eye chalk ink. I hope you have enjoyed looking at this today and hope you are inspired to go make a page today! Thanks for stopping by!!
Cheers!

Birthday Boy Invites

What is up??? I hope all is well for you on this Tuesday evening! I wanted to share these two cards with you. I have a friend at work, Louise (aka Weezie) Hi Weez! :-).
Weez needs me to make birthday/Halloween invites for a 14 year old boy! What? I don't know anything about 14 yo boys!!! So hear is my attempt at cool invites that are not dainty or girly.
I don't know...what do you think? Can you lend me suggestions on 14 boy birthday invites??
I used Night of Navy cs from SU and Grey Wool and Flannel Gray cs from CTMH. The stamps are CTMH Extream caps (DUDE) and Delightful Alphabet (PARTY) and the Your invited sentiment is from Celebration also CTMH. Oh, and the ink is Grey Wool and Out Door Denim from CTMH.
Thanks for seeing me today!!
Cheers!

Scrap Happy!!!

Sup?
Hope you all have enjoyed a 3 day weekend. I have. But man it has been HOT! So, what is a girl to do? Stay in an air conditioned scrap room and craft away! I have been working on an album of
baby Logan well, I have put pictures in it yet but that is coming. The album is a super cute 6x6 flip album that "stands up" on a desk or coffee table. It will hold 24 pages. So it has taken me a little while because I will work on it then work on cards. Anyway. Here are a couple of pages that I did. Through out the entire album I used BasicGrey Oh Baby Boy collection. I got it at Hobby Lobby a few months ago on clearance for guess what.......$3.49. Holy Schmoly what a deal considering the collection was $17.99. I bought it before we knew Logan would be a boy, so I think I made out like a bandit. The stamped animals are from CTMH Life's A Jungle colored with
colored pencils and gamsol. The bar code (my new FAVORITE) is by CTMH Code it. It is a super cute stamp set for only $13.95. I posted a couple of close up's of it that I used on these two pages.
I am ready to put pics of that sweet baby in here. Thanks for your visit!!!!
Cheers!
